Property and application
The appearance is white waxy solid or yellow colloid.Its water solution is Neutral or alkalescent. Foam is generated when shaking.
Benzalkonium Chloride extremely easily dissolves in water or alcohol,and slightly dissolves in diethyl ether.Its property is:stable,sun-proof,pressure-proof,heat-proof,odourless,nonvolatile and of long shelf time.It is categorized into antiseptic and disinfection medicine.Benzalkonium Chloride has the effects of cleaning and disinfection by dissociating active gene of positive ion in water solution.It is widely used to disinfect skin and surgical instruments and also be widely used in the field of bacteria resistance,disinfectant,antiseptic,emulsification,antisludge,solubilizing,etc.It  is  also  the   levelling agent of positive ion dyes.

The application in medical industry
(1)0.1%Benzalkonium Chloride water solution can be used in hand-disinfecting for medical people before operation.
(2)0.01%Benzalkonium Chloride water solution can be used in disinfection of wound infection. The application in the treatment of industrial water:
This product is low toxic,water soluble,easy to use.It is highly effective for eliminating bacteria and alga.Besides,this product will not be affected by hardness of water It has strongly chemical exfoliation. Thus,it is perfectly suitable used as Germicide,algicide and Slime remover to handle the cyclic cooling water in giant chemicals equipment.It also can be used as levelling agent with usage of 100PPM.If  dyeing is overcolored,it could be used to exfoliate and dye again.
Other applications:Use 2%-5%Benzalkonium Chloride solution spray to disinfect:livestock shed, cereal barn,place and instrument for breeding silkworms,mushrooms,tremella,etc.This product can also be used as preservative in glue,gelatin and photographic film.

It's harmless for human body.It has little irritation for skin and the mucous membranes of eyes,but we suggest not touching it directly.
